Violinist, conductor and early music specialist Andrew Manze joined students of the USC Thornton Strings program for a masterclass in February of this year. An authority in historical performance practices, Manze has held conducting posts with the Academy of Ancient Music, the English Concert, the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, the Norwegian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and, currently, the NDR Radio Philharmonic Orchestra in Hannover. In this video, Francisco Fullana, a student of USC Thornton Strings faculty member Midori Goto, performs J.S. Bach's Partita No. 2 in D Minor.
