New World Symphony violin fellow Alex Early explains and demonstrates spiccato on the violin
Violinist Alexandra Early is a native of St Paul, Minnesota. She is an avid orchestral and chamber musician and has performed in both disciplines across the United States and Europe. As an orchestral musician, Ms. Early has performed in orchestras including the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, New World Symphony, Alabama Symphony, Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, Cleveland Pops Orchestra, Charleston Symphony and Canton Symphony. She was also a member of the inaugural YouTube Symphony which performed at Carnegie Hall in 2009. Ms. Early holds a Master of Music and a Professional Studies Certificate from the Cleveland Institute of Music as well as a Bachelor of Music from the Manhattan School of Music. Her primary teachers include Charles Gray, Burton Kaplan and Paul Kantor. Ms. Early has spent the 2012-2013 season performing with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.
