Ravel: Piano Concerto in G Major - Mvt. III CIM Orchestra Kimbo Ishii-Eto, conductor Jiana Peng, piano Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. in Kulas Hall Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major was composed between 1929 and 1931. Heavily influenced by jazz, Ravel dedicated the piece to Marguerite Long, who also premiered the work on January 14, 1932 with Ravel conducting the Orchestre Lamoureux. The work received high praise, and premiered in North America on April 22, 1932 simultaneously by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and The Philadelphia Orchestra.
